Arara

On the banks of the Xingu River, when Belo Monte dam was just a contentious proposal , P4F had taken on the challenge of a painting event. Large areas of pristine landscape would be flooded by the dam construction, killing wildlife and displacing people but I thought painting wildlife and forest would be a good thing. Belo Monte dam did eventually take place and the landscape changed.

P4F was there just a few full, hectic days. We had come with big boards, loads of paint and images of rainforest animals. It was great fun but a shame not to be able to do anything to stop the forces of so progression.
